�� Did Dolphins Try to Build an Underwater City? Meet Gerald.

Every beach town has its stories.

Some are about record fishing trips. Others involve mysterious things washing ashore after a storm. And every once in a while, a story comes along that’s so strange it quickly becomes part of island conversation.

Recently, a particularly bizarre tale began circulating along Southwest Florida’s coast — one involving dolphins, underwater infrastructure, and a leader named Gerald.

Yes… a dolphin named Gerald.

�� The Story Making the Rounds

According to reports, a man rescued off the coast claimed he had been taken underwater by a pod of dolphins and forced to help build an underwater civilization.

And apparently, the dolphins had leadership.

The leader’s name? Gerald.

As the story goes, Gerald was running the operation.

Now whether this was imagination, misunderstanding, or simply one of those strange Florida moments, the story spread quickly — because honestly, it’s exactly the kind of tale that feels like it belongs near the ocean.

Of course, if Gerald really is managing an underwater infrastructure project, we can only assume the permitting process is going much faster down there than it does on land.

On February 22 , South End Zen on Fort Myers Beach hosted a wellness talk focused on practical, science-backed ways to feel stronger, improve energy, and support long-term health.

This wasn’t trend-driven wellness. It was measurable, research-supported, and grounded in real data.

Here’s a recap of what we covered.

Hydration, Nutrients & IV Vitamin Therapy

One of the core topics was IV vitamin therapy and how hydration impacts immune function, energy levels, and recovery.

When your body has adequate hydration and key nutrients — like Vitamin C, zinc, magnesium, and B vitamins — it can manage stress, fatigue, and illness more effectively. IV therapy delivers these nutrients directly into the bloodstream, allowing for faster absorption compared to oral supplements.

February often lines up with what are called spring tides (nope, not the season—confusing, I know). These happen during:

New moons
Full moons

When the sun, moon, and Earth line up, their gravitational pull combines. That extra tug creates higher high tides and lower low tides . The result? Water pulls way back, exposing sandbars, tidal pools, and sometimes things you didn’t expect to see.
