A beloved island tradition for more than 60 years, the Lion’s Club Shrimp Festival celebrates Fort Myers Beach’s rich history and ties to the local shrimping industry. The weekend includes a lively parade, shrimp boil, craft fair, and family-friendly activities that draw visitors from near and far—all supporting the charitable work of the Fort Myers Beach Lion’s Club.

St. Patricks Day Parade

The Fort Myers Beach Women’s Club brings island spirit and Irish pride together each March with their annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Locals and visitors line the streets to enjoy festive floats, lively music, and plenty of green as the community celebrates one of FMB’s most beloved traditions.

March Madness -  Pickleball Tournament

When: March 21, 2026 @ 9:00am - 3:00pm

The March Madness Pickleball Tournament brings players together for a fun, full-day series of matches on the island’s courts. Play begins at 9:00 AM, with participants rotating through scheduled games in mixed skill groups. Players check in at the main courts in the morning and compete throughout the day, creating a relaxed, community-focused pickleball event for everyone involved.

Join us for a Sunset Sound Bath as part of the South End Zen wellness series and paired with Glow By The Gulf. Guided crystal bowl tones and the natural rhythm of the waves create a peaceful space to unwind, reset, and restore. Please bring a beach towel or yoga mat and come ready to relax.  Please park at Sandy Bottom's Bar and Grill and use Beach Access 28.  Please arrive by 6:45pm

Glow by the Gulf

Join us for Glow by the Gulf, a coastal health, wellness, and beauty experience on Fort Myers Beach. We’ll kick off Friday, April 17 with sunset yoga on the sand, then continue Saturday with a sunrise guided meditation, beachside workouts, yoga, and sound bowl sessions.

On Saturday from 11 AM–4 PM, explore our Wellness Vendor Village at Sandy Bottom’s featuring health, beauty, fitness, and self-care businesses from across the island and beyond.

Island Charm Crawl

Hosted by What’s Up FMB, the Charmed Crawl runs from May through July, turning Fort Myers Beach into a playful, island-wide scavenger hunt.

Participants collect unique charms from participating bars, shops, and restaurants, adding a new piece to their chain at each stop. Those who complete the crawl earn a final charm and island bragging rights at the closing celebration.

JobuFest

Hosted by Sandy Bottom’s, JobuFest is a Fort Myers Beach tradition celebrating calm seas and a hurricane-free year. Islanders gather to make lighthearted offerings to Jobu—rum, cigars, painted shells, and lucky trinkets—followed by a community toast and the blowing of conch horns to bless the season ahead. What’s Up FMB joins the festivities with a raffle of island-themed wreaths, adding a fun twist that supports our local initiatives and community programs.

4th of July Parade and Fireworks

Red, White, & Beach is Fort Myers Beach’s Fourth of July Fireworks & Parade celebration, bringing together residents, visitors, and local businesses for a full day of patriotic fun. The event includes a traditional Fourth of July parade followed by a fireworks display designed to showcase the island and celebrate community pride. This year, the celebration is being supported through a community-powered fundraising effort in partnership with the Town of Fort Myers Beach.

Mullet Madness

Hosted by What’s Up FMB, Mullet Madness is a two-day island celebration where “Redneck Riviera meets Coastal Cool.” The weekend features live music, themed contests, games, and island-style fun across Fort Myers Beach venues, including the popular Joe Dirt Look-Alike Contests for kids and adults. Paper Lantern Parade

American Sand Sculpting Championship

Each November, one of America’s premier sand-sculpting events comes to Fort Myers Beach. Master sculptors from around the world go head-to-head creating massive, intricate sand sculptures created from nothing but beach sand and creativity. The 35th annual championship runs November 20 – 24, 2025 and is held at the DiamondHead Beach Resort, with friendly competitions, family sand-play areas, live entertainment, food vendors, and more.

FMB Christmas Boat Parade

The annual Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce Christmas Boat Parade lights up the back bay waterways each December with beautifully decorated vessels gliding across the waterway. Boats assemble at Salty Sam’s Marina, depart at 6:00 PM, and travel past waterfront restaurants, the Matanzas Pass Bridge and Siesta Isles canals—creating a festive, floating light display for all to enjoy.

Christmas Tree Festival & Holiday Raffle

Each December, the Fort Myers Beach Women’s Club hosts its annual Christmas Tree Festival, featuring beautifully decorated trees and wreaths created by local non-profits and offered in a festive auction to benefit island causes. What’s Up FMB joins the celebration by raffling a uniquely themed holiday tree, with proceeds supporting community programs and events.

TropiClaus Gift Exchange and Toy Drive

Pedals & Presents (Annual Christmas Bike Caroling)

New Years Eve Fireworks

Beach Keepers Club FMB Cleanup

We’re excited to kick off the 2026 Beach Keepers Club events on Fort Myers Beach with our 11th Annual Clean Up! Registration opens January 12th.



This beach cleanup event benefits Keep Lee County Beautiful, and each $30 registration includes a Tunaskin Performance Beach Keepers Club shirt, all cleanup supplies, food and refreshments after the event, plus entry into raffle prizes donated by local sponsors.
