Fireworks fundraiser
Red, White & Beach
Why We’re Funding the Fireworks
Fireworks on 4th of July and New Year's Eve are island-wide traditions that bring people together, support local businesses, and showcase Fort Myers Beach as a vibrant destination.
In the years following Hurricane Ian, traditional funding sources have been limited as the community continues to rebuild.
By leading this biannual fundraising effort (4th of July and New Year's Eve fireworks) in partnership with the Town of Fort Myers Beach, What’s Up FMB is helping to ensure this Fourth of July celebration can move forward in a responsible, transparent way—powered by the community it benefits.

Timing
- Campaign end date: May 31
- After May 31, if the campaign is not fully funded, we will make a decision to:
- Cancel the fireworks, or
- Proceed with a smaller show, depending on funds raised
Fund Handling & Contingencies
- All donations are for fireworks, permitting, and support costs
- Donors may choose to be recognized publicly or remain anonymous during the secure online donation process below
- If we do not spend all funds raised, remaining balance will be reserved for our second biannual fundraiser for New Year’s Eve fireworks
- This drive also funds permitting and support costs for the 4th of July Parade, not just the fireworks display
Partnership & Transparency
- This is a collaborative effort with the Town of Fort Myers Beach to benefit the community
- We want to be fully transparent and provide responsible stewardship of funds
