A Celebration Made Possible by Community

This year's Independence Day celebration is a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together.

Through the support of local businesses, sponsors, volunteers, donors, and community partners, Fort Myers Beach is once again able to celebrate Independence Day with a full day of patriotic events for everyone to enjoy.

Whether you're visiting for the holiday or call Fort Myers Beach home, we invite you to spend the day celebrating with us.

Red, White & Beach: A Celebration That Lights Up Fort Myers Beach

There are moments that remind us why we love Fort Myers Beach, and the Fourth of July is one of them.  As the sun set over the Gulf, thousands of residents and visitors gathered along our shoreline, on boats, and throughout the island to witness a spectacular fireworks display that illuminated the night sky. Beneath every burst of color were families making memories, friends celebrating together, and a community united in pride for our country and the place we proudly call home.

But Red, White & Beach is more than a fireworks show.

The day began with the annual Fourth of July Parade, where decorated floats, patriotic golf carts, local businesses, nonprofits, first responders, veterans, and community organizations filled Estero Boulevard with music, laughter, and red, white, and blue. It was a celebration of hometown pride that brought neighbors and visitors together to kick off Independence Day.

Later that afternoon, the celebration continued at Freedom by the Bay at Bayside Veterans Park. Guests enjoyed live music, family-friendly activities, food, and a special tribute honoring the brave men and women who have served our country. It was a meaningful reminder that the freedoms we celebrate each Fourth of July were earned through sacrifice and service.

As darkness fell, all eyes turned toward the Gulf for the grand finale. The fireworks reflected across the water while boats gathered offshore and crowds stretched along the beach, creating one of the most breathtaking scenes of the summer. It was a picture-perfect ending to a day that celebrated not only America's independence but also the resilience, spirit, and unity of Fort Myers Beach.

Events like Red, White & Beach are only possible because of the incredible support of our sponsors, volunteers, town staff, public safety agencies, participating businesses, and community partners. Their dedication behind the scenes allows thousands of people to enjoy a safe and memorable celebration each year.

At What's Up FMB, our mission is to create experiences that strengthen our community while supporting our local businesses year-round. Red, White & Beach is a shining example of what can happen when an entire island comes together with a shared purpose.

To everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, marched in the parade, performed, donated, or helped spread the word—thank you. You helped make this year's celebration one to remember.

The fireworks may have lasted only a few minutes, but the memories will stay with us for years to come. We look forward to welcoming you back for even more unforgettable events on Fort Myers Beach.

Happy Independence Day, and thank you for celebrating with What's Up FMB.
